Royal Caribbean Registers 6 Trademarks As Possible Ship Names

Earlier today, information was leaked by a Royal Caribbean fan site that claimed Royal Caribbean has filed 6 new trademarks as possible ship names.

These new trademarks seem to be name options for Royal Caribbean’s two new Sunshine Class of ships, which are set to debut in 2014 and 2015. The names follow the standard “of the seas” naming theme of all Royal Caribbean ships. The names trademarked by Royal Caribbean are…

  • Anthem of the Seas
  • Ovation of the Seas
  • Passion of the Seas
  • Pulse of the Seas
  • Quantum of the Seas
  • Vantage of the Seas

Information regarding the Sunshine Class ships has been tightly controlled. Almost no information has been made public. As of right now, the only “major” information that has been released is that the ships are being built by Meyer Werft Yards in Papenburg, Germany; as well as the ships will be launching in the fall of 2014 and spring of 2015.

As the keel for the first ship will most likely be laid later this year, we hope that Royal Caribbean will soon be making some announcements regarding the design and features of the new class.
