Norwegian Schedules 16 Calls At New Banana Coast

Norwegian Cruise Line has scheduled 16 calls at the new Banana Coast port, located near Trujillo, Honduras.

The 16 calls, which are scheduled between October 2014 and April 2015, will be scheduled on western Caribbean sailings aboard the Norwegian Jewel. The Norwegian Jewel is scheduled to sail from Houston, Texas to the western Caribbean on a weekly basis beginning in October. The Norwegian Jewel’s seven night western Caribbean itinerary will also call in Cozumel and Belize City.

The Banana Coast has been billed as one of the Caribbean’s newest ports of call, featuring Caribbean agriculture, flowers and gardens, animals and wildlife, a historical museum, 15th Century Spanish road, rivers, a shopping center, restaurant, bar, water excursion area, and a private beach.

The Banana Coast has been scheduled as a port of call for a number of major cruise lines through 2015, including Holland America Line, Norwegian, Oceania, P&O, and Silversea.
