Norwegian Breakaway To Be Christened In 20 Days

20 days from today, the Norwegian Breakaway will be officially christened and launched in her brand new homeport, New York City.

The Breakaway is currently alongside in Bremerhaven, Germany and is scheduled to begin her journey to the Big Apple on April 28th (my birthday :)) with a cruise from Rotterdam to Southampton, which will continue on to New York City a day later. The Breakaway will arrive in New York on May 7th and will be christened the next day by her godmothers – the Radio City Rockettes.

Fortunately, I will be onboard the Norwegian Breakaway for her christening to bring you the highlights of the christening ceremony on May 8th. More details of how I will bring the event to you will be announced on April 31st. So, please stay tuned!

The Norwegian Breakaway will be Norwegian’s largest ship to ever homeport in New York City. She will sail 7 day long, weekly cruises to the Bahamas and Bermuda beginning May 2013.
