Grand Turk Will Reopen To Cruise Ships Next Week

Carnival Corporation has announced that Grand Turk will reopen for cruise ships starting next week. The first ship to call at Grand Turk for the reopening will be the Carnival Freedom on April 8th.

Grand Turk has been closed for almost five weeks after a surge of Norovirus cases were reported onboard ships only after visiting Grand Turk. Carnival has been testing and cleaning the cruise center for the past five weeks in order to safely reopen the facility. In a report from Carnival Corporation, Carnival explains that their health task force was unable to determine a connection between the cases of Norovirus and the cruise guest’s visits to the cruise center at Grand Turk.
